CYCLING with Bridge Bike Hire ![]()
Cornwall has a great system of cycle trails. 20 minutes from the hotel there is the Camel Cycle Trail that runs from Padstow to Bodmin Moor.
We can pre-book cycles for you from the half way point
Bridge Bile Hire in Wadebridge who have all sizes of cycles and trailers for toddlers.
Its a great day ou to cycle the trail to Padstow down the estuary and then have fish and chips at Rick Steins cafe. Try it!

TREE SURFING with Pure Activities ![]()
Challenge your balance and co-ordination on our three adrenaline-fuelled treetop ropes courses.
You'll climb 50 feet up into the woodland canopy. And then weave through the trees on the specially designed trail. Test your Tarzan-ometer ratings on a range of intricately constructed swings, bridges, wooden walkways and zip wires.
Your journey in guaranteed to be a challenge, but you'll always be linked up to a harness for safety. Surf the treetops, experience the views and feel the adrenaline rush.
When you come back down to earth between each of the three courses you'll be on a natural high.

COASTEERING with Pure Activities ![]()
Coasteering is a new developing sport that involves swimming, climbing and jumping along a section of coastline. Set Coasteer routes explore caves and gulleys; jump from sheer rock faces into deep water; boulder/traverse along sections of rock and play in the moving water around rocky features. Timing subject to tides - best coasteer is at high tide.
FISHING with Pure Activities ![]()
A 4 Hour fishing trip off a wreck or reef between 2 and 7 miles out of Newquay harbour dependant on conditions. Fish using rods with bait, lures or feathers.
Plenty of fresh air and a chance to catch dinner!
KAYAK ADVENTURE with Pure Activities ![]()
A 3 hour kayak fishing tour around Newquay Bay from Newquay harbour.
Exploring caves and coves stopping in the bay to fish for mackerel from kayaks with mini rods.
A safety boat accompanies the group who will be on kayaks for the whole of the trip.

The trip is on board a 33ft fast fishing boat with the opportunity of various activities – agenda depending on the group, weather, timings etc.
However the trip can include as well as the boat trip, marine wildlife spotting, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing.
SURFING & BODYBOARDING with Pure Activities ![]()
Newquay is a popular surf beach and a great place to learn to surf.
While methods vary a little from surf coach to surf coach, in your first lesson the surf instructor will go over the basics - these include:
* Ocean safety
* How to spot a rip
* How to wipeout
* Tides
* Lifeguard flags
Then it's time for a bit of dry land surf coaching:
You will have time to practice lying on the board in the "prone" position,
* How to paddle out,
* How to paddle for a broken wave,
* How to stand up (the tricky bit) and how to stay on!
Then its time to hit the water.
The surf coach will be on hand to give you advice as you progress.
Before long you could be up and riding the whitewater waves back to the beach.
BODYBOARDING
Bodyboarding offers another route into the adrenaline packed world of surfing.
Riding a smaller board and wearing fins you can be 'out back' and tackling unbroken waves after a couple of lessons but, as with surfing, bodyboarding takes a lifetime to master...
DINGHY SAILING with Pure Activities ![]()
Enjoy a fun two hour introduction to dinghy sailing at Siblyback Lake. The session will cover the basics to steering the boat and controlling the power of the sail. Dinghy sailing is a fun exhilarating sport and this is the perfect way to see if you would like to get more involved. Up to 2 people in the boat depending on size of individual and wind strength on the day. Session either 1.00pm or 1.30pm start

Sessions cover how to get on the board, get into the sailing position and how to turn the board around in this first session. Brilliant fun for all the family to enjoy whilst learning something new. LLAMA TRECKING with Pure Activities ![]()
Meet and Greet the Llamas. Llama Land is nestled in the hills just three miles from Truro, Cornwall. The Tripp family has farmed the land where the Llamas live for three generations, mostly as a sheep farm.
In the past eleven years, 10 new hedgerows and 14,000 trees have been planted improving the conservation value of the farm, enhancing the environment as well as giving extra shelter for the animals. The owners introduced llamas to their farm in order to help control scrub areas and to protect sheep from foxes.
Since then Llamas have stolen their hearts and taken over their lives.! They now have a herd of Llamas gracing the farm. The Llamas are part of the family and each and every one of them gets a name!
Each llama is a delight and has its own individual character. All the animals are treated with kindness and respect.
