Accenture Choose Sands for Staff Reward
Our aim was to provide an enjoyable and low key break for approximately 25 employees as a reward for being part of a successful project. The project had been based in the centre of Manchester for the past 18 months and so an important criterion for the location was somewhere which would be a complete contrast to that of the urban surroundings of the city.

A short search on the internet and fond memories of holidays past, quickly brought our attention to Cornwall and particularly the northern coast with its endless beaches. We did not have to think too long about the exact location with at least two national airlines flying direct from Manchester to Newquay.

We discovered a number of possibilities for places to stay, but what drew us to the Sands Resort was the fantastic customer service we received from the very first contact. The cliff-top location overlooking the Northern Atlantic rollers provided not a bad secondary reason, but Mr. Nicholas Malcolm from the Sands Resort proved an excellent host and was able to find and suggest an array of possibilities to entertain the guests. Not only was he able to offer activities based at the Lusty Glaze adventure centre and a superb cycle tour along the Camel Valley to a vineyard, but he was able to provide the more mundane logistics such as collecting people from the airport and arranging transfers between locations.

Other members of staff of the Sands Resort contributed equally to the warm welcome we received throughout our stay, and even went as far as providing excellent restaurant recommendations (I don’t think I have ever dined in such a fine location as the Lewinnick Lodge on a beautiful June evening!) and assisting with guest-lists in Newquay’s hot-spots!

The weekend was a thorough success and upon our return to Manchester everyone commented on what a fantastic weekend they had experienced. This was in no doubt to the efforts of the Sands Resort team for turning our trip requirements into reality.
